Early Morning Arrest on San Jacinto Street

LIBERTY, November 3, 2012 – At 12:16 AM on Saturday morning, Officer Frank Longoria observed a dark colored pickup speeding down Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Liberty and began an attempt to stop the vehicle.

Officer Longoria caught up to the vehicle on San Jacinto Street near the intersection of Grand Ave in Liberty.

During the traffic stop, according to Officer Longoria, a standard field sobriety test was administered and the driver identified as James Priddy, age 36 of Hardin was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

During an inventory of Priddy’s vehicle Officers at the scene found a 45 caliber, Springfield, semi-automatic handgun in the vehicle.

Priddy was taken into custody and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
