National Night Out in Liberty

LIBERTY, October 3, 2012 - The temperature was wonderful for the National Night Out event held yesterday at the Liberty City Hall and there was plenty to see for all of those who turned out.

Officers who protect our city were all present including those on bike patrol and in uniform.

The City of Liberty Library had a display describing the many programs and work they do for children at the library.

There were coloring books for kids along with games and information on gun safety for families with children.

Liberty Fire and EMS Personnel were on hand to introduce those in attendance to some of the life saving gear they use in there daily work aboard ambulances and during emergencies caring for individuals and held fire hose races with the kids.

Those who supervise the animal shelter were on hand with two dogs dressed in costumes that are available and ready for adoption.

In all it was a great evening for families, children and adults to get together on a wonderful fall evening in Liberty.
