Man Arrested for Outstanding Warrant at Murphy’s

LIBERTY, August 2, 2012 – Shortly before 11:00 PM on Wednesday, a motorist reported a reckless driver and informed dispatchers that the vehicle they were driving pulled into the Murphy’s Gas Station at the Wal-Mart.

Officer Longoria and Cummins responded to the Murphy’s and located the late model Ford Pickup parked at the station.

The vehicle was driven by a black female whose passengers were a white male and another black female.

The white male in the vehicle was identified at Jimmy Kelly age 46 of Liberty. During the investigation into the incident it was learned that Kelly had an outstanding warrant from Jefferson County and was placed under arrest and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

Neither of the females had a valid driver’s license, so a friend was called to come to Murphy’s and pick them up.

According to public records the vehicle is registered to MIckey Noonkester of Liberty, TX.

The pickup was towed from the station and securely stored.
