Major Accident North Main at Verizon Store
LIBERTY, August 13, 2012 – Shortly after 11:00 AM on Monday the City of Liberty Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a major accident on North Main Street near Monta that sent one man to the hospital by City of Liberty Ambulance.
According to Officer Rolando Aguilar a maroon Buick was traveling north on North Main Street when a late model, gray, Ford Pickup disregarded the stop sign on Monta, moved from the turn lane on North Main and struck the northbound Buick.
The Buick then went out of control, made almost a complete U-Turn and crashed into a light pole in the parking lot of the Verizon Store.
The driver of the Buick is not positively known at press time due to the fact that the man and only occupant of the car was rushed to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center in Liberty for treatment from the scene.
The driver of the Ford Truck was identified as Bart Alan Moss age 34 of Liberty.
According to Officer Aguilar Moss received citations for Failed to Yield Right of Way at a Stop Sign and Driving While License Invalid.
