Dayton Driver Arrested for DWI

LIBERTY, August 19, 2012 - Just before 1:00 AM on Sunday morning Officer Kyle Cornelius noticed a vehicle with it’s rear license plate light out making a turn onto East Street from westbound US 90 in Liberty.

The vehicle was a dark colored Camero with a driver and three passengers one of which was a juvenile.

According to Officer Cornelius during the traffic stop the driver exhibited signs of intoxication including slurred speech and a standard field sobriety test was administered.

The group claimed they were coming from a party out in the County east of Liberty but were not sure where. Found in the vehicle was large, empty whiskey bottle.

According to Officer Cornelius the driver of the vehicle identified as Justin Patrick Inman age 20 of Dayton was taken into custody, charged with Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

The passengers were released to a driver who came to pick the three up and take them home.
