Results of Housing Survey WASHINGTON, November 13, 2012 – The sale of new manufactured homes since the collapse in 2007 has yet to recover according to the US Census Bureau. In 2077 there were 94,800 placements of new manufactured homes and in 2011 there were only 47,000. See information and tables below.
Below is a table of the number of Building Permits issued for permanent constructed homes in the US. You can see that right after the economic collapse of 2007 the number of Building Permits for homes fell dramatically and although on the rebound have yet to recover and are up 3% in 2011 over the previous year.
