Liberty Man Arrested Second Time for Family Violence
LIBERTY, August 6, 2012 – The City of Liberty Police Department assisted by other agencies responded to 836 Texas Street in Liberty around 12:06 AM on Monday for a report of domestic violence.
You may recall that police responded to the same address last Wednesday and arrested Carl Wayne Heard for Assault Family Violence.

According to Officer Kyle Cornelius a mutual friend of Heard and the woman who lives at the house on Texas Street phoned and asked if Heard could come over and take a shower. In order not to violate the Emergency Protective Order issued against Heard the woman left the house with her dog. Upon her return to the residence Heard's car was not there and she proceed inside not realizing that Heard was inside the residence having parked his car in the back yard.
Heard grabbed the woman when she came in and according to police assaulted her by restricting her breathing.
The woman was able to get Heard calmed down enough to call police and act as though she were talking to a friend on the phone about a vehicle she owned.
Police arrived and entered the residence finding Heard hiding in a closet where he was removed at gun point, taken into custody on charges of Assault Family Violence Impeding Breathing as well as Violation of an Emergency Protective Order and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
