Driver Reported at McDonald’s Arrested LIBERTY, June 16, 2012 - The City of Liberty Police dispatcher received a call from a person in a vehicle that was behind a red pickup with a white toolbox at the McDonald’s in Liberty and the occupants of the pickup were through beer bottles out of the vehicle onto the parking lot. Corporal Frank Longoria was dispatched to the scene and by the time he arrived the pickup had left. However, the person who called police notified police that the pickup was traveling north on Main Street and Corporal Longoria went in route.
According to Longoria he smelled alcohol when he approached the vehicle as well as observed an open container in the vehicle. As part of the traffic stop Corporal Longoria conducted a standard Field Sobriety Test and then placed Dustin Hardy under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. There was a 17-year-old passenger in the pickup identified as Blaine Petrich age 17 as well who was apparently all right.
