5K Run/Walk for Hunger to Benefit Dayton Community Food Pantry
DAYTON, August 28, 2012 - Texas AgriLife Extension Service is coordinating a 5K Run/Walk for Hunger on Saturday, September 29th at the Dayton Community Center located at 801 S. Cleveland St. in Dayton, TX. Proceeds will benefit the new charitable organization, Dayton Community Food Pantry, opening in Dayton soon!
Registration and number pickup will begin at 7:00 a.m. Texas AgriLife Extension Service will conduct a snack demonstration and SNAP Fitness Center will conduct warm up exercises.
The Run will begin at 8:00 a.m. followed by those who choose to walk. Medals will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winner in the following age divisions: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Donations and sponsorships welcome.
For the participant who secures the most Sponsor Donations will receive recognition, a Gift Certificate and 10% of the donations secured by the participant. Pre-Entry Fee is $15.00 if registered by September 7th; Late-Entry Fee is $20.00. Teams welcome!
