LIBERTY, July 11, 2012 - THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HOUSTON/GALVESTON HAS EXPANDED THE

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH TO INCLUDE A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS... INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...AUSTIN...BRAZOS... BURLESON...CHAMBERS...COLORADO...GRIMES...LIBERTY...MADISON...
MONTGOMERY...POLK...SAN JACINTO...WALKER...WALLER AND
WASHINGTON.

* THROUGH THIS EVENING

* AREAS OF TRAINING HEAVY RAINFALL WILL EXPAND INLAND FROM THE COASTAL AREAS INTO THE REGION.

* AREA GROUNDS ARE BECOMING INCREASINGLY SATURATED FROM THE PAST FEW DAYS. RAINFALL RATES ARE APPROACHING 2 TO 2.5 INCHES PER HOUR IN SOME STORMS. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL RUNOFF QUICKLY AND COULD PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING...ESPECIALLY STREET FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
