Woman Making Phony Refund Get’s Arrested LIBERTY, October 30, 2012 - Shortly before 11:00 PM on Monday night, Officer Josh Cummins was dispatched to Wal-Mart in Liberty to investigate a theft allegedly by a Dayton woman who was detained at the store by security personnel.
According to Officer Cummins Edwards was observed entering the store with a basket and a receipt. She went throughout the store placing items on the receipt in the basket and then presented the items at the Customer Service Counter for a refund. The refund was made and Wal-Mart personnel were watching as Edwards left the store whereupon she was detained and police summoned. Edwards was placed in handcuffs, escorted to a waiting patrol car and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
