Liberty County 4-H Mounted Drill Team Dress Rehearsal Performance
LIBERTY, July 10, 2012 - The Liberty County 4-H Mounted Drill Team will host their annual Dress Rehearsal Performance on Tuesday, July 10th, 7:00 pm, at the TVE Arena in Liberty. It is our distinct pleasure to share with our families, friends, community and faithful supporters a night of free entertainment that we promise will both delight and amaze you. The Rebel Riders and the Lone Star Riders performed their State competition drills for the first time on June 20th at their Texas 4-H District Competition in College Station with the Rebel Riders placing second in both Precision Drill and Fast Drill and the Lone Star Riders placing 4th in Precision Drill and 5th in Fast drill.
The Liberty County Rebel Riders will be ushered into the arena by the ethereal sound of lilting Irish flutes. As they begin their Celtic equestrian dance allow them to transport you back in time while their synchronized maneuvers tell a mesmerizing visual story of the lyrical Irish people.
From prison walls to hallowed halls, let the Liberty County Lone Star Riders stir your memories of the love story that inspired a generation. The legendary Man in Black, Johnny Cash, rides today to his distinctive melodies with his beloved bride, June Carter at his side. Johnny and June's band joins them in this equestrian rendition of their unforgettable journey.
Your presence at our dress rehearsal will be such an encouragement to these two Championship teams as they prepare to leave for their State 4-H Horse Show in Abilene at the end of July. The teams will also perform their Precision Drills for you. The Precision Drill routine is written by Texas A & M University and all teams across Texas ride to the same drill for a true test of horsemanship abilities. Our Rebel Riders won the Championship in both Fast and Precision Drill last year at The State 4-H Horse Show in Abilene.
A concession stand will be available for your convenience. We will also have the drawing for the BBQ Pit, which is being raffled, as well as numerous items, which have been donated by many businesses in Chambers, Hardin, and Liberty County. If you are interested in participating in the raffle and have not had the opportunity to purchase tickets they will be available to purchase at the performance.
