Twelve Students Found Under the Influence at Cleveland High School CLEVELAND, January 31, 2012 - According to Cleveland ISD Spokesperson Stacey Gatlin, shortly after lunch today12 students at Cleveland High School exhibited signs of being under the influence of an unknown substance. The ages of students range from 9th grade to 12th grade all of which began exhibiting signs of problems shortly after lunch. This has lead school officials to the conclusion that the incident that started this occurred during lunchtime. Six students were transported by ambulance to Cleveland Regional Medical Center for treatment and six others are being treat at the high school. The Cleveland Police Department responded to assist district police and the Liberty County Sheriff responded as well. At the present time students are not being allowed in or out of the school and the parents of the students involved have been notified. Gatlin stated that parents with any questions should contact the Cleveland High School.
