Disturbance at Cedar Ridge Apartments
DAYTON, June 20, 2012 – Dayton Police were summoned to the Cedar Ridge Apartments around 10:00 PM on Tuesday for a large disturbance that had broken out between several individuals.
According the Sgt. Coleman of the Dayton Police Department police were first told that there were weapons involved, however, no weapons were found as part of the investigation into the incident.
After the investigation Sgt. Coleman advised i-dineout.com that none of those involved were actually residents of the apartment complex and all those without signed lease agreements were asked to leave the premises.
When police arrived on the scene a foot pursuit of one of the suspects commenced and the suspect was captured by police.
Arrested at the scene were brothers, David Broussard age 17 and Daren Broussard age 19.
An ambulance was summoned to the scene to treat Daren Broussard after he beat his head against the bars of the cage in the back seat of the patrol car according to Sgt. Coleman.
Police plan extra patrol throughout the evening at the apartment complex and anyone found to not be a resident of the apartments will be asked to leave after management has been notified.
