Man Arrested with Washing Machine

LIBERTY, April 27, 2012 - It was shortly after 2:00 AM on Friday when Corporal Frank Longoria, leaving the Liberty County Jail, noticed a green pickup with a washer dryer in the back which is unusual at that hour in the morning.

Corporal Longoria got behind the pickup and observed that it did not have any brake lights and decided to affect a traffic stop.

The driver of the pickup was identified as Frederick Alex age 47 of 2000 North Travis Street in Liberty.

Frederick Alex presented Corporal Longoria with an occupational driver’s license, that can only be used to go back and forth to work, that in fact had expired.

Frederick Alex was arrested and taken into custody on charges of Driving While License Invalid, a charge for which he has a previous conviction.

In the photo below of 2000 North Travis Street there is a white, 4 x 4, Dodge in the driveway that according to public records is registered to Joseph Alex age 22 of Liberty.

You may recall from our previous report of April 16, 2012, that Joseph Alex crashed another pickup he was driving on Missouri Street in the very early hours, shortly after midnight, of Monday morning.
