Accident on US 90 at BJ Ford

LIBERTY, May 2, 2012 - Late Wednesday afternoon an accident occurred on US 90 in front of the BJ Ford Dealership that sent two people to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

According to Officer Rolando Aguilar who investigated the accident for the Liberty Police Department a Chrysler 300 sedan was pulling out the driveway to the Ford Dealership and an eastbound vehicle stopped to let the driver in.

The Chrysler pulled into the eastbound lane and proceeded to enter the turn lane where it was truck by Chevy pickup in the turn lane that was intending to make a left turn onto the SH 146 Bypass.

The driver of the Chevy pickup was Debra Hubert age 55 of Dayton.

The driver of the Chrysler 300 sedan was Alcina Roberson age 32 of Liberty. Both the driver and passenger in the Chrysler were transported to the hospital by City of Liberty Ambulance.

According to Officer Aguilar both vehicles were insured and ? was issued a citation for Failure to Yield Right of Way from a Private Drive.
