A target letter identifies the recipient that they are a target of a Federal investigation and tells the recipient what options they have. This target letter contains language telling the recipient that they may voluntarily go before a Federal Grand Jury but that they would NOT be called as a witness to testify by prosecutors before the Grand Jury. The language in the letter also tells the recipient that they may have their attorney contact prosecutors to set up a meeting to discuss the issues surrounding the investigation.
