A Captain with the Cleveland Police Department received a telephone call from a female who identified herself as Kimberly “Kim” Sinclair who admitted she had an inappropriate relationship with a student. Sinclair advised the department that she would turn herself in to authorities on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 to provide a statement of facts as to her involvement with the student. Sinclair failed to appear at the Police Department as she had stated and did not specify a reason as to why. Wednesday evening Cleveland Police served a warrant for the arrest of Kimberly Sinclair and she was transported to the Cleveland Police Department. She will later be transferred to the Liberty County Jail and is expected to be released on bond. The incident surrounding this case did not occur on school property according to Chief Mark Bradshaw of the Cleveland Police Department. Sinclair has been an educator with the Cleveland ISD since January of 2009.
