LIBERTY April 8, 2019 - On 3/26/2019, at 12:15 AM an Officer with the City of Liberty Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a white 2004 chevy 4 door for no license plate light at 830 block of Robbie, Liberty, Liberty County TX 77575. The Officer made contact with the driver a White female. After checking the defendant's information it was discovered that the driver had no driver's license.

The driver identified a Janely Jasmin Garcia age 23 of Liberty, was placed in custody. The Officer inventoried the vehicle and discovered a clear plastic baggie containing a green leafy bud substance believed to be marijuana located in a tan purse located on the passenger's seat. The marijuana was later weighed to be 4.5 grams.

Garcia was transported to the Liberty County jail.
