Drug TakeBack This Saturday

LIBERTY April 23, 2019 - Liberty Police Department, in conjunction with the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration), will be holding a Drug Take-Back in front of the Police Department on Saturday, April 27th from 10am until 2pm. Bring your unused or expired prescription medications for safe disposal.

The drop off area is a drive through in front of the Liberty Police Dept. at 1906 Lakeland Dr..  So all you have to do is drive up and drop off. There are no questions asked and no forms to fill out.

If you are unable to make the drop off, you can dispose of your unused or expired medications by taking them out of their bottles, mix them with something unappealing (kitty litter or coffee grounds) and seal them in a bag and throw them in the trash. Flushing medication can contaminate the water supply.

If you would like more information on this program, please stop by the department any time or you can visit www.dea.gov, or www.getsmartaboutdrugs.com or www.justthinktwice.com
