Genealogical Society Program will be on the Census
LIBERTY March 11, 2019 - The Liberty County Genealogical Society will meet Tuesday, March 19th, 2019 in the DAR Meeting Room behind the historic Cleveland-Partlow House on Grand Avenue, at 10:00 a.m. There will be a short business meeting before the program entitled, “Finding Hidden Gems in the Census Records.” The webinar will cover lesser known schedules in the census such as Agricultural; Defective, Dependent, Delinquent; Indian (Native American); Industry and Manufacturing; Mortality; Slave; Social Statistics and Veterans. Other clues will be explored to find maiden names of female ancestors, professions, parentage, education and literacy, occupation and many other facts to complete your family tree. Come and explore many areas of the Census Records which you might not know exist and find exciting “clues” to your past. Find out how to “ferret” out more information using very accessible records but often forgotten! |
