Kenefick Dollar Store Burglarized

KENEFICK October 26, 2018 - In the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning, the Dollar Store located at 3625 FM 1008 in the Town of Kenefick in south Liberty County was burglarized at 2:03am. The lone burglar gained entry by breaking the front door glass out with a large rock. There was no loss reported at this time as the burglar was inside the store for only one minute as recorded by the store’s security cameras.

According to Liberty County Sheriff’s lead Patrol Deputy Gordon Bean, the security camera captured a white male wearing blue jean pants and high top boots with the pant legs tucked inside the boots, a medium blue “Ike” style jacket and a light blue baseball cap with black lettering across the front and left side of the cap bill. He was also wearing a yellow and black bandana over his face and dark colored gloves.  In addition the suspect was carrying what appeared to be a gray colored bag but did not appear to have any stolen property in the bag when he left through the same broken glass area.

Investigators are reviewing the security tapes from several different cameras as well as other evidence to obtain additional information that may help to identify the suspect.
