Thief and Stolen Vehicle Arrested in Woodland Hills
 

DAYTON December 21, 2018 - On Monday December 17, 2018 the Liberty County Pct 4 Constable's Office was conducting routine patrol in the Woodland Hills Subdivision in Dayton.

A deputy constable observed a black Jeep Cherokee disregard a stop sign and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. 

During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that the vehicle was stolen from the State of Missouri.  Further investigation revealed that the driver, Jeffery Scott Holmes, was a fugitive of justice from the State of Missouri as a felony arrest warrant for Vehicle Theft had been issued for Holmes' arrest in connection with the stolen vehicle. 

Holmes was placed into custody for the arrest warrant without incident and transported to the Liberty County Jail where he was incarcerated with no bond, awaiting extradition back to Missouri.
