AUSTIN April 13, 2018 ⎯ Attached is a copy of the jury’s verdict reached late Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in the 172nd District Court of Jefferson County.
Rayden Meadows, 4, of Tarkington is the son of the deceased, Clinton Meadows, and was represented by Baytown Personal Injury Trial Lawyer, Craig Muessig. As you can see from the attached, the jury awarded Rayden a total of $1,100,000 for the loss of his daddy, Clinton Meadows, age 25 at the time of the accident.
The jury also awarded the Estate of Clinton Meadows the total of $1,100,000 for the death of Mr. Meadows. The Estate of Clinton Meadows was represented by Beaumont attorney, Judson Daws.
The defendant in this case is Beaumont resident Kendrick McCloney, age 29. The deceased, Clinton Meadows, also a Beaumont resident was age 25 at the time of this January 24, 2016 accident.
At the time of this tragic accident, Clinton Meadows was changing his wife‘s flat tire on the shoulder of Interstate 10 southbound several hundred yards before you reach the Laurel Avenue exit. Defendant McCloney’s vehicle left the roadway and struck Meadows on the shoulder who was then rushed by ambulance to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where he was treated and subsequently died.
