LIBERTY April 2, 2018 ⎯ Conditions are improving along the Trinity River with the Livingston Dam release being cut back to 40,500 cubic feet per second (cfs)
Additional reductions are likely throughout the week.
The Trinity River is well below flood stage in Romayor and appears to be near or at crest in Liberty with a current stage of 29.46.
The last gauge along the river in Liberty County is the Moss Bluff gauge and it is slowly rising, however, we anticipate a crest tomorrow or Wednesday at a level lower than the moderate flood stage of 15.2 feet. Current stage is 14.56.
These levels have resulted in some roads being cut off around the flood plain subdivisions located along the river but no home inundations have been reported.
Rain in the forecast tomorrow but we do not feel there will be a big impact as a result of tomorrows rain, however, we will be monitoring and update as necessary.
