No Real Changes in Trinity River

LIBERTY, February 28, 2018 - No real changes along the Trinity River today, levels at Romayor have dropped a bit while levels at Liberty and Moss Bluff continue a slow rise and should crest soon.

The discharge rate at the Livingston Dam has remained at 30,600 cubic feet per second as the upstream water flow ( "Dallas" water we tend to call it ) continues to make its way across Lake Livingston.

We do not have any indication that we will see an increase in the Livingston discharge rate over the next day or so and will watch as additional water from the north flows toward the dam over the next week to 10 days.

This is a very common event for residents living in the flood plain subdivisions along the Trinity River. As roads into some of the subdivisions are covered with water, most residents choose to stay in their elevated structures and boat in and out, or stay with friends outside the flood plain.

Bottom line is we will monitor incoming rainfall and water in the system and update as conditions warrant.
