Dayton Man Arrested in Liberty

LIBERTY September 26, 2018 - On 9/16/18 Officers with the City of Liberty Police Department were dispatched to a call in reference to a male subject at on Highway 146 Bypass, Liberty, Texas  who was throwing up in the store.

Dispatch then advised the subjects name and dispatched EMS to the location. The Officer arrived and made contact with the B/M subject. The B/M was sweating profusely, and appeared to be very paranoid. The Officer asked the B/M subject where was he coming from and the B/M stated he didn't know and was confused.

While EMS was observing the B/M, the B/M became very paranoid and ripped off the blood pressure cuff and started running away from Officers and medics. Due to the B/M not having the normal use of his faculties he posed a danger to himself and others if left alone.

An assisting Officer advised that the B/M admitted to smoking methamphetamine. An assisting officer and medics checked the B/M subject's eyes and the B/M eyes were dilated. The B/M subject's pupils did not constrict to light. The B/M was then placed in custody for public intoxication.

While searching the B/M person, identified as Percy Arceneaux of Dayton, Officers discovered a small clear plastic bag believed to be synthetic marijuana. The B/M was then transported to the Liberty County Jail. The synthetic marijuana was later weighed to be 4.6 grams.
