Woman Arrested for Fifth Theft Arrest

LIBERTY, March 14, 2017 - On March 10, 2017 at approximately 4:35 PM, Officers with the Liberty Police Department responded to a business in the 2100 block of Highway 146 bypass in reference to a disturbance.

Upon arrival, Officers met with a male subject who became combative. Officers then placed the male subject in custody.

Officers met with the complainant who stated they had a female, identified as Tamy Marie Thibodeaux age 50 of Liberty, in their office for shoplifting when the female's husband became combative towards them. The male suspect began beating on the door and blocked the door from closing by sticking his arm in the way. The male suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Dispatch notified Officers that the female suspect who was detained for shoplifting has had four prior convictions for theft. The female suspect was arrested for theft with two or more prior convictions.

Both suspects were then transported to the Liberty County Jail for processing.

Thibodeaux’s bond was set at $15,000 dollars.
