Former Hardin Youth Football Coach Indicted

HARDIN, June 23, 2017 - The wheels of justice move slow at times but progress in cases does happen. Such is the case of Joseph Nunan a former Coach at the Hardin Youth Football league.

On August 2, 2016 Joseph James “Joey” Nunan age 33 was arrested by Liberty Police at Wal-Mart for leaving his three year old daughter in the car unattended. According to family members the little girl got out of the car and was walking in the parking lot when a bystander reported the incident to police.

Upon investigation Nunan was arrested for Abandoning Endangering Child Criminal Negligence and transported to the Liberty County Jail. Nunan was a coach at the time of this incident.

The case was submitted to the Grand Jury who returned an indictment charging Nunan with Endangering a Child Criminal Negligence and there have been at least three docket calls in his case the last one on June 5, 2017.
