Intoxicated Man Arrested at Wal-Mart

LIBERTY, October 13, 2017 - On October 6, 2017, an officer with the Liberty Police Department was dispatched to a call in reference to a White male subject who was drinking while driving and walking around Wal-Mart disturbing the peace. On arrival the Officer spoke to many witnesses who stated the subject was telling customers, he had been drinking and threw a beer in the trash.
The Officer made contact with the subject, identified as Douglas Craig Landry age 33 of Beaumont.

When the Officer made contact with the Landry she detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. The Officer asked the Landry if he consumed any alcohol and the defendant stated he did. Due to Landry not having the normal use of his faculties and having access to endangering the public if he chose to drive off, Landry was believed to be a danger to himself and others.

Landry was then arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
