HOUSTON, Febuary 17, 2017 - At 11:28am this date, the family members of Liberty County Constable Justin Johnston who was critically injured when he was struck by a pick-up truck earlier this week while working traffic control on Hwy. 146 in south Liberty County, gave the below updated medical report for Constable Johnston.
“We are very encouraged with the doctors’ reports and Justin’s progress thus far. He is off the ventilator and breathing on his own. Thank you for your continued support and prayers."
As further medical reports are given, this office will forward them onto the news media. Again, on behalf of the Johnston family, we all sincerely appreciate your support and prayers for him and his family.

Reverend Ted Smith of the St. Stephens’s Episcopal Church in Liberty, Texas has announced a community prayer service for Liberty County Constable Justin Johnston on Sunday, February 19 at 6:pm. The church is located at 2041 Trinity St. in the City of Liberty and the public is invited.
Constable Johnston was critically injured when a vehicle struck him while he was working a traffic control assignment on Hwy. 146 on the south end of the county earlier this week. At present, Constable Johnston is in critical condition and in ICU at a Houston hospital.
