Liberty Woman Arrested for Public Intoxiction

LIBERTY, September 20, 2017 - On September 3, 2017, Officers were dispatched to a residence on Lincoln Street in reference to a disturbance in Liberty.
A White female subject, identified as Claudia Marie Gilbert age 23 of Duff Street in Liberty, was reported to have arrived at a residence uninvited, causing a disturbance.

The subject told her brother that she swallowed a handful of methamphetamine. The homer owner did not want the subject at the residence due to his children's safety. The family members at the residence did not want to take
responsibility for the subject and wanted her to leave the property.

Officers attempted to administer HGN and observed the subject to have nystagmus. The subject became uncooperative, could not follow instructions and could not complete SFST'S.

Gilbert was taken into custody and transported to Liberty County jail for public intoxication.
