Woman Arrested for Theft at Wal-Mart

LIBERTY, January 19, 2017 – On January 17th, 2017, around 11:50 AM, a Sergeant was dispatched to Wal-Mart in reference to a theft in progress. Upon arrival, the Sergeant found two subjects (one female and one male) had conducted a fraudulent return with items collected from the business and obtained currency from that false
transaction using an old receipt.

It was also found that the female had stolen an item from the business. Sergeant issued a Notice to Appear to the male subject due to his offense being a Class C Misdemeanor.

Sergeant arrested the female, identified as Crystale Marie Garcia age 34 of Liberty, due to her offense being a Class B Misdemeanor. Both parties where issued a Criminal Trespass Warning for the property.

The item and the U.S. currency were returned to the business owner. The male subject was released on scene and the female was transported to the Liberty County Jail charged with Theft of Property without incident.

Garcia’s bond was set at $1,500 dollars.
