Two Injured in Flash Fire at Propane Company

DAYTON, May 25, 2017 - On Tuesday may 23rd at 4:23 pm the Dayton police Department received a 911 call requesting Fire and EMS services at T Neal Propane located at 712 W Clayton St in Dayton for a fire with injuries.

Preliminary observation at the scene indicates that an employee was filling a customers propane canister when a flash fire occurred severely burning the employee, customer and customers vehicle. As citizens were passing by, they stopped, call 911 and assisted until Liberty County EMS arrived on scene.

Both burn victims were transported by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The Dayton Volunteer Fire Department assisted with and held the scene, until it was turned over the Liberty County Fire Marshals Office and The Texas Railroad Commission for investigation.
