Trinity Valley Bird Club March Meeting
LIBERTY, March 1, 2017 - The March meeting of the LOWER TRINITY VALLEY BIRD CLUB will be held on, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at The FLNB Corner (1822 Sam Houston Av, Liberty, TX) across for the First Liberty National Bank. Directions: from Hwy. 90, turn north on Travis St. (between Kentucky Fried Chicken and Whataburger), cross over the railroad tracks- The FLNB Corner is at the intersection of Sam Houston Av. and Travis St.

Our speaker for March will be Carlton Collier. He will be speaking on Hunting for the New Antbird Species in Peru.
Carlton Collier has been a member of the Lower Trinity Valley Bird Club off and on since 1980's. He is also a Life Member of the Houston Audubon Society and Texas Ornithological Society. Also, he presently servies on the Houston Audubon Society Land Conservation Committee. He has traveled to roughly 45 different countries not counting their territories, mainly for the purpose of seeing the birds. March's membership meeting speaker’s topic with be the success or failure of a trip taking just prior to the meeting to Peru. The purpose of this trip is to find and photograph a new species of Antbird discovered this last summer. In any case, other unique birds and other wildlife will also be discussed and hopefully a detailed discussion as to a successful trip to the awesome country of over 1,800 species of birds.
